Testimony about ESQ Basic Training

DR Adhyaksa Dault  - Indonesia’s State Minister for Sport and Youth Affairs:
I feel grateful that I could participate in ESQ training, as it gives me a valuable experience. I had learned a lot of scientific and religious knowledge before, which still looked like a scattered puzzle for me. With the help of Ary Ginanjar Agustian and God’s blessing, I can put all the scattered pieces into one complete and beautiful picture. ESQ offers scientific knowledge which should be learned by everyone, including religious leaders. ESQ holds universal values, which are not only for the muslims. What is being taught is beneficial for all. It is in line with the vision and mission of Kabinet Indonesia Bersatu (the United Indonesia Cabinet), that is religious nationalism.

M. Syafi’i Antonio, PhD – Expert in Islamic economics and finance
With his observation and analysis, Ary Ginanjar Agustian guides us with his concepts of Zero Mind Process, Mental Building, Personal Strength, Social Strength, and Inner Voices based on the Beautiful Names of God (Asmaul Husna). He has the ability to explain and simplify a very complex concept using an easy analogy.

Taufik Ismail  - Poet
ESQ Training is God’s great gift. I’m grateful that I joined this training because I experienced an extraordinary enlightenment. There has never been a social transformation in our society done by other organization similar to what ESQ is doing now.

Dr. Yudhi Krisnandi – Member of the House of Representatives (DPR)

During the ESQ training, we felt so close with our creator through the visualization displayed. After the training, we felt like being reborn, with a new spirit to do more kindness in the future.

Dr. BRA Mooryati Soedibyo – Deputy Head II of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR):
I gained a lot of helpful knowledge that is so meaningful for me, which I didn’t expect to get when I joined this training. It’s very beautiful and valuable.

Sudin Saragih, Head of the Administration Office of The Regional Representatives Council (DPD):
This time I bring along 38 members of DPD, and this is the second ESQ training for DPD members. After the training, it is hoped that DPD members are developing themselves and the society. ESQ has been growing well, and almost all DPD members have joined the training. This ESQ training should be continuously given until we are out of the crisis.

H Priyatna Abdul Rasyid, Chairman of the Indonesian Arbitration Body
I have traveled around the world, studied in many parts of this globe and learned so many things, but in this ESQ training, I finally found what I’ve been looking for.

Sugiharto, Indonesian Former Minister of State-Owned Enterprises:

If all staff members in the government of Indonesia have been touched by the values given in ESQ training, with God’s will, Indonesia will rise and lead the world.

Anggito Abimanyu, Board of Comissioner of Telkom:
It is the first time I shed many tears in my life, which may be liters of tears. I will keep on working to reach ZMP (Zero Mind Process), so that this rare and exceptional training will be beneficial for me, my family, and the society.

Rozi Munir, Head of the Executive Board of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU):
I am really impressed with ESQ training. Frankly, this training is excellent. We are given the awareness of the true meaning of our existence in this world; why we live and what we should contribute in life.

Bambang W Suharto:
ESQ Way 165 is our national identity. Here, we are given the guidance of where to go and what to do with our lives. The values of ESQ are in line with the noble values owned by our country.

Ustman Chatib Warsa, Former Rector of the University of Indonesia (UI):
The content, method, and style of ESQ training help us to synergize our three intelligences, IQ, EQ and SQ. I’m sure that Golden Indonesia will be realized. UI and ESQ should work together to realize it.

Hery Sucipto, National Intelligence Agency (BIN):
ESQ is pleasantly welcomed among BIN officers, and has been expected by our country. ESQ needs to be continuously expanded. I fully support the vision of Golden Indonesia, and hope to reach that in the near future.

Margani M. Mustar, Head of the Board of Middle and Higher Education (Dikmenti), Ministry of Education:

I’m so fascinated that there are ESQ alumni who facilitate free ESQ trainings for teachers. There have been 40 classes and about 80,000 teachers who have joined free ESQ trainings. This is great! We are now also spreading ESQ training among students, because some schools who have given ESQ trainings to their students have reported a better performance.

Banteng Sumarsono, son of the late national hero, Sumarsono (Siliwangi Battalion):
I’m not a religious teacher, nor an intellectual, but I just want to help my community with my knowledge. ESQ has many similarities with what I’ve been teaching to my community. However, the method in ESQ is more scientific, systematic, universal, so that people from different religious background can embrace it. As a fellow countryman, I’m proud of Ary Ginanjar Agustian. I often wonder why a person like him weren’t born before. It’s surely God’s will and we should be thankful for that.

Police Inspector General Dwi Purwanto, Head of the Indonesian Police School of Staff and Command:
To create a leader of integrity in Indonesian Police (POLRI), it’s not enough to develop only intellectual (IQ), as emotional and spiritual intelligence are also needed. ESQ is essential in realizing Golden civilization of Indonesia and Golden POLRI.

Rear Admiral Ir. Sudjiwo M.Sc, Commander of the Indonesian Navy School of Staff and Command (Seskoal):
The concepts in ESQ training will give an important foothold in the life of the officers being educated at Seskoal, together with the concepts of the soldier’s oath of Sumpah Prajurit and the seven articles of Sapta Marga. Ary Ginanjar Agustian illustrates ESQ as the strengthening of the values of the later two. ESQ training must be given prior to other knowledge.

Colonel Chrisna M. Paat, Head of the Management Department, the Indonesian Navy School of Staff and Command (Seskoal):
I don’t have much to comment. Only one thing, this training is brilliant. In the training, I was personally reminded to be back to the purity of the self. All companies and government organizations in this country must join this training, because it’s excellent.

Colonel Gusmaidi, Head of the Teaching Operation, the Indonesian Navy School of Staff and Command (Seskoal):
Before the training began, I don’t know why I have this confidence that the officers will be enthusiastic in participating in this ESQ training. In the process of self-searching, this training is essential. I suggest that the government should give more attention to ESQ. The content of this training should even be integrated into our national curriculum, and it is supposed to be given early from elementary education. However, there’s never too late to know ESQ, because it will still be beneficial whenever you learn it.

Sarmadan Hasibuan, Regional Secretary (Sekda) of the City of Padangsidempuan, North Sumatra:
I have already struck with amazement only at the beginning of the ESQ training. This training is admiring, so I’m thinking of bringing ESQ to Padangsidempuan. I guess I’ll postpone my return to Padangsidempuan–although there’s also an important agenda there–because I have to join the whole sessions of this training. If I don’t, I will keep on questioning. The topic about the galaxy in this training really amazed me. It was superb. I’ve just learned that Prophet Muhammad mentioned the Big Bang theory 1,400 years ago, prior to the existence of Hubble telescope.

Muhammad Satria, Regional Secretary (Sekda), of the Regency Muko-muko, Bengkulu:
About two years ago, when an earthquake hit Bengkulu, I met a group of volunteers from ESQ, led by Mr. Sugeng (Coordinator of ESQ alumni in Bengkulu). He talked a lot about ESQ’s struggle, which sympathized me. Finally, I’m now participating in ESQ training with the other Sekda colleagues. After the first half-day of the training, I have realized the importance of this training, and been really impressed with it. I hope I can practice the values in my duty to lead Muko-muko.
