The Foot Steps

A Journey of a thousand miles begins with one step

That is how ESQ started in Indonesia. ESQ Leadership Center (ESQ LC) experienced that process is as important as results. ESQ started with the success of Ary Ginanjar Agustian’s first book, then, the process towards the enlightenment began. To spread the message of the book more clearly to a wider audience, a training method was designed. The training helps the participants not only to understand the logical ideas in ESQ book, but also to experience the emotional and spiritual message of ESQ.

The method of ESQ training by far has been very effective, and has received positive responses from its participants. With its strong message and modern way of delivering the ideas—sophisticated multimedia and high voltage sound system— ESQ training offers an impressive experience for people from various backgrounds.

People who were moved by the experience in the training voluntarily promote the training to their family, relatives, friends, and colleagues. It shows that ESQ training is moving as well as motivating. Therefore, ESQ alumni have contributed a lot to the success of ESQ, together with the hard work of ESQ LC team to reach their vision and mission.

ESQ is now one of the largest leadership training centers in Indonesia. In a period of one month, on average, ESQ LC conducts 100 training events in Indonesia and overseas, and recruits 10,000-15,000 alumni. This massive work is supported by 500 staff working for ESQ LC.

Although at the beginning, ESQ LC only focused on conducting training, it has now developed new supporting business units such as: publishing house, multimedia unit, retail unit, tours & travels units. In supporting the alumni activity, an ESQ alumni association (FKA ESQ) is established, which aims to bond the friendship and build synergy among ESQ alumni.

Since 2006, ESQ LC has been conducting trainings overseas, such as in Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam, Singapore, Europe, the US, and Australia. In 2009, some other countries—Japan, Dubai, Egypt—are in the waiting list to have ESQ training. Following the high demand of ESQ training in Malaysia, in April 2007, ESQ opened its first overseas branch in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. An increasing need for ESQ In-company training also comes from large companies in Malaysia, as from Petroliam Nasional Berhad or widely known as PETRONAS, and also Sime Darby, etc.

To support the running of ESQ trainings, a tower is being built, Menara 165. It is a facility used as ESQ training venues, an alumni activity centre, and also the symbol of working spirit towards a Golden Civilization.
